摘要
A methodology based on traveling waves for the estimation of faults in transmission lines using the Wavelet transform, the Savitzky-Golay filters and LMS is presented. The three-phase voltage signals are obtained, decoupled and submitted to the three Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques aiming to extract only the high frequency variations of the signal to subsequently obtain the Traveling Waves propagation time intervals and, thus, proceed to the calculation of the distances. The errors obtained with the application of the PDS techniques are compared to determine which technique is the most effective in estimating the fault distance in the presence of white noise. A real 500kV transmission line was simulated in the ATP software. The addition of noise and application of the PDS techniques were performed in Matlab software. The results show that all three PDS techniques are suitable for fault estimation, with LMS standing out.
