摘要
The study examined the underlying drive of individuals to involve themselves in organizational innovation within Chinese high-tech companies. We investigated the factors that lead to drive individuals to get involved in two types of organizational innovation. reorientation and variation, which differ from the main stream of innovation research as previous studies focused on firm level factors. Data collected from 451 respondents in 28 high-tech companies were analyzed using logistic regression and results show that dissatisfaction with compensation, need for power, and organization hierarchy level were all relevant factors to one's choice of either variation or reorientation innovation.
