The Economical Effects of the Integration of the Central and Eastern European Countries in EU

The specialists believe that the expansion of the European Union represents less of an advantage for the newly accepted countries, which experience a supplementary growth of GDP per capita, of import and export, of occupation etc. In our opinion, in Romania's case, the integration period (post-adhesion) is too short (less than 2 years), so the real results we have so far allow only preliminary, temporary appreciations and evaluations. The previsions are optimistic, though, taking into consideration the results of the expansion values from EU-6 to EU-27, as well as the predictions of the specialists for the new member states.
