摘要
A simple formulation for studying the free vibration of shear-deformable laminated composite plates having translational edge constraints is presented in this paper. The aim is to fill the void in the available literature with respect to the free vibration results of laminated composite plates. The spatial discretization of the resulting mathematical model is carried out using the Finite Element Method. Several combinations of translational elastic edge constraints are considered. First of all convergence study is completed for the laminated composite plates followed by the results are compared with the previous published papers. Effects of stiffness parameters, moduli ratio and lamination schemes on the natural frequencies are studied..
