摘要
The glucose anodes of disposable biofuel cells that might provide the low power required by subcutaneously implanted glucose sensors has been reviewed for electrochemical glucose monitoring in diabetic people. The review also included central laboratory, desktop glucose-analyzers, home blood glucose monitors used by self-monitoring diabetic people, and diabetes management based on frequent or continuous amperometric monitoring of glucose. These small subcutaneous sensors is expected to be further miniaturized and its operating lives will be extended. These monitoring technologies and further progress in bioelectrochemistry eliminated the pain experienced by patients with diabetes.
