摘要
Antibiotic therapy has been largely ineffective in improving clinical outcomes following Salmonellosis, yet the reasons why remain obscure. In this issue of Cell Host & Microbe, Dolowschiak et al. (2016) report that IFN gamma produced by NK and T cells following antibiotic treatment of acute Salmonella infection limits mucosal remission.
