摘要
The article intends to introduce the authors' experimental study on a kind of adsorbent. The ability of adsorbent for the removal of reactive dye, namely reactive red B-3G reactive blue B-2GLN, reactive black B-GRFN, reactive green B-4BLN, from aqueous solution has been studied. The experimental equilibrium data have been analyzed using the linearized forms of Langmuir, Freundlich isotherms. The Langmuir isotherm was found to provide the best theoretical correlation of the experimental data for the adsorption of all four reactive dyes. The monolayer adsorption capacities were determined to be 11.850, 7.760, 7.276, 8.362mg of dye per gram of adsorbent, respectively to four dyes. The authors also studied the structure of bentonite and the mechanism for modification by means of X-ray diffraction. The results show that the structure of bentonite remains unchanged and the chitosan is absorbed on the surface of bentonite. The mechanisms of the adsorption process of adsorbent are likely to be ionic interactions of the colored dye ions with the amino groups on the chitosan.
