摘要：

This paper intends to establish the utilization of cause effect diagrams for analysis and definition of performance measurement system. These diagrams, which are used in total quality management, reveal as a useful tool for monitoring the correspondence, consistency and linkage among the indicators that belong to the different levels of the organization. One example is given and discussion about future applications is incorporated at the end of the paper. Copyright (C) 1998 IFAC.
