摘要
The influence of particle size on the impact initiation of HMX was studied using 12-type instrument method. The mechanism of detonation initiation is discussed. The results show that particle size is of great effect on the impact sensitivity, and impact sensitivity increases with the increasing of coarse size. The ignition phase is a determinant factor in the impact detonation. The factors that influence the ignition phase are the crucial factors that determine the impact sensitivity. The active center in the crystal grain is the initiation point. The bigger the crystal is, the easier the active center can be formed.
