The radiation and energy contribution of a pulse-periodic discharge in helium

An experimental investigation is performed of the energy contribution and radiation of a pulse-periodic discharge in the form of a high-velocity ionization wave in helium with the pulse voltage amplitude of 14-18 kV, the duration at half-height of 77 +/- 2 ns, the front of 19 +/- 2 ns, and the repetition rate of 1200 Hz. It is found that, under certain conditions, a more efficient energy contribution is made by pulses reflected back from the generator.
