Creating a Web index: a never-ending task

Description of efforts to create the Subject Index to Literature on Electronic Resources, a Webbed, page-specific index. Discusses issues, problems and pitfalls faced when starting this one-man project. The article gives a brief analysis of the methodology used to create the Index, the accompanying Electronic Sources of Information: A Bibliography and also describes the users of the Web index. Concludes with a listing of the most urgent problems of the Index and plans for the future.
