Applying classifications of materials and energy transformations to early environmental assessment of products

摘要
To enable environmental assessment based on conceptual product descriptions this research attempted to define groups of materials and energy transformations. This paper describes the identified groups as,well as the application of these classifications to six products and the effect on the outcome of an environmental analysis was measured. For the experiments three different environmental metrics were applied.
