Hard-less dead-time compensator for PWM voltage inverters

摘要
In this paper a hard-less method based in a low computation algorithm to minimise the effect of the non ideal behaviour of the inverter is presented. Some experimental results are shown to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method. The method is based on space vector pulse-width modulation strategy, and consists in making equal the real and the calculated stator flux, neglecting the stator resistance. Unlike classical methods, that minimise the effect of the dead time, this approach does not require any extra hardware for implementation, because can be accomplished without no extra sensors, and furthermore the compensation algorithm will not add computation load to the inverter's controller. This algorithm simply minimises the difference between two simple adders containing the discrete times calculated and those actually sent to the inverter.
