A few years ago, the IRS audited a Massachusetts bee club. The IRS came down heavily on the organization, punishing the organization with stiff fines. The penalty was levied because, as a non-profit organization, with a lot of money in their coffers, they were not giving enough of it away. For, a non-profit organization has to be above all, charitable.
