The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and The President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports have recently collaborated to develop Physical Activity and Health: A Report of the Surgeon General. Released on the eve of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, the report's key finding is that people of all ages can improve the quality of their lives through a lifelong practice of moderate physical activity.
