摘要
The data are given on the content and distribution of radionuclides and other chemical elements in water, suspended matter, and bottom sediments in the key parts (former bed, bed land, flood land, and flooded lands) of the storage basins B-10 and B-11 for low-level radioactive wastes from the Mayak Production Association. The radionuclide concentration in these components of the aquatic ecosystems studied is influenced by the distance from the source of contaminated waters; chemical, mechanical, and mineralogical characteristics of the bottom sediments; and tendency of radionuclides to complexation and colloid formation. The contribution of organic matter of the bottom sediments to the radionuclide distribution throughout the water-bottom sediment system is analyzed.
