NaOH and Urea Influence on Methane Production Rate in Anaerobic Fermentation Pretreatment of Corn Straw

摘要
This paper studied how both NaOH and urea influenced methane production rate in anaerobic fermentation pretreatment of corn straw under the same organic loading rate. The methane production rate from corn straw after pretreated by sodium hydroxide and urea respectively were compared and analysed. Generating capacity of methane from corn straw were studied under different organic loading rate and the same alkali. The results showed that methane production rate would be different if alkali was different, for example, the best value of the methane production rate appeared respectively at 2% g.L-1NaOH and 6% g.L(-1)urea. It was indicated that methane production rate is the largest at 2% NaOH and organic loading rate of 65 g.L-1 in anaerobic fermentation process of corn straw.
