Virtual reality in the social and political issues modeling

摘要
Our interest is the working out of a model of a social system in the virtual reality for the management support. It involves the hierarchy of the participants of ethnic, social, economic, political groups, etc., correlation of forces, and their influence. There is also the possibility to achieve the balance of interests and to estimate undesired consequences of different activities by using the modeling means of virtual reality. The conceptual model which created the components of virtual reality presented the complex social and political issues for the analytical support of the decision-making while carrying out the geopolitical and economic monitoring suggests the following stages: preparatory, information, analytical, multifunctional modeling and summarizing of the materials received. The preparatory stage comprises the task generation, sets the actors of the events, their hierarchy and defines problems and alternatives while making decisions in political and economic spheres, etc. The information stage includes the data processing and summing up of the experts' ratings. The selection of the actual information is suggested at the analytical stage. Here it is possible to evaluate events, forces and the level of influence of the actors and to reveal urgent problems and conflicts. The stage of the multifunctional modeling enables the risk management. At the last stage the data and documents to support decisions-making are compiled. These models are implemented in the DMSS "RISK - 1". RISK - 1 System user is provided with an updated information technique of political and economic analysis. The system was used for the forecasting the results of the economic and social survey made in some Ukrainian regions; it was also applied for the information support and the forecasting results of the referendum on the issues of the Ukraine's independence and the first Presidential election in 1991. The further development of the RISK-I project suggests transformation into Virtual Reality the anthological approach to the construction modeling, as well as images and algorithmic calculation applied in this system.
