摘要：
Various aspects of ZVUE, a handheld video player, are discussed. The ZVUE, which unlike a DVD player, can be carried along and relies on a 2.5 inch thin-film transistor liquid crystal display and stores its programs on a secure digital multimedia card. The proprietary encoding scheme that compresses programs at a 100 to 1 ratio and the 75-gram units that can play for upto eight hours on four AA size batteries is presented.
