摘要
The participation of mothers attending the "San Gabriel Health Center" was taken into account, the objective was to determine the factors associated with the early abandonment of breastfeeding in mothers in order to develop an educational plan and guarantee a good growth and development of the child, the different researches were analyzed and it was evidenced that there are some cases about the problem. In the development of the project, the qualitative and quantitative modalities were used, bearing in mind the causes and consequences of the investigated topics, to complement and have a broad context, the methods were taken into account using as paradigm the scope of the research of exploratory, descriptive and correlational type, the techniques and instruments of research, For the collection of information, a survey was used, which was applied to the mothers, allowing to determine that 55% of them abandon breastfeeding early due to the lack of knowledge about the importance of breast milk and the benefits it provides to the children, the main factor for the interruption of breastfeeding being the mother's occupation, since 38% of them study and 31% work, being the biggest problem for the early interruption of breastfeeding. In view of these results, the design of the proposal was presented, where educational strategies were developed to prevent the early abandonment of breastfeeding and to educate about the importance of breastfeeding, thus generating changes in the attitude of breastfeeding women.
