Deveopment of SVC fuzzy-logic adaptive controller for stability enhancement of power systems

摘要
A SVC control strategy for damping area mode oscillation is developed based on transient energy analysis. To implement the control strategy, a fuzzy-logic SVC controller design is proposed for enhancing power systems dynamic stability. The controller is capable of adapting the gain settings in real time according to fuzzy rules imitating human being's judgement and inference. The performance of the proposed controller is compared with a gain-fixed controller in case studies. Simulation result demonstrates that the fuzzy-logic SVC controller provides satisfactory performance;in dynamic stability enhancement.
