Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging on Lunar Surface with Observatory on Earth

摘要
Antenna of the Arecibo observatory is chosen to simulate synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging on lunar surface. A lunar-centered lunar-fixed (LCLF) coordinate system is defined to describe the ephemeris of the antenna, considering the orbital motions of the Earth and the Moon in the ecliptic plane. A frequency-domain algorithm (FDA) is used to reconstruct the image, resulting in a spatial resolution of 3 m.
