摘要：

A broad-band circularly polarized aperture coupled rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) array is presented. Sequential phase feeding technique is employed to increase the bandwidth of circular polarization without compromising the impedance bandwidth. The 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth of 2 x 2 DRA array is about 38% using sequential phase feeding technique. In addition, a broad-band matching bandwidth of 46% is accomplished. The achieved maximum gain is 10.5 dB of the DRA array. Moreover, the radiation patterns are symmetrical around the broadside direction with side-lobe levels below -14 dB. A compact array size of square wavelength area has been accomplished and verified using two different simulation tools for X-band applications.
