Research on early-warning model of vehicle lane-changing on the fast lane based on driver type

摘要
In view of the existing lane-changing model, there usually less consider driver type that causes traditional lane-changing model is lack of actual road traffic safety and applicability. And the existing models only study changing from low-speed lane to high-speed lane, and the research of opposite situation is less. For this reason, this paper firstly analyzes the motion characteristics between interchange vehicles and their associated vehicles. Then the driver type is classified, and based on the minimum safe distance, the driving cross from the high speed lane change to low-speed lane is analyzed using the vehicle running principle, then the elliptic driver model based on different types is set up. Finally, the numerical simulation of model using the MATLAB software is given, the simulation results show that the new model can complement traditional vehicle lane-changing model, is more appropriate with actual lane-changing behavior because of considering the driver's type.
