摘要
Photo Voltaic (PV) panels are connected in Series (S), Parallel (P) and Series-Parallel (SP) configurations to generate the required power using solar energy. Partial shading on the PV arrays minimizes the power generation from the system. PV array configurations like Total Cross Tied (TCT), Bridge Linked (BL) and Honey Comb (HC) have been introduced to get better output during partial shading. The study compares the configurations S, P, SP, TCT, BL and HC with an array size of 30 modules under 10 different shading patterns. The modules are connected in a matrix format either in a size of highly series (6X5) or in a size of highly parallel (5X6) strings. PowerSIM (PSIM) simulation is used to compare the configurations connected in highly series and highly parallel connections under shading patterns. The results shows TCT produces maximum power in all cases and highly parallel (5X6) connected PV array produces maximum power than highly series (6X5) connected during partial shading.
