摘要
This study examines an importance of yielding characteristic and an effect of the internal fabric and structure on mechanical behavior of Osaka Pleistocene marine clay using high quality clay samples. The natural Upper-Most Pleistocene marine clay is found to have more brittle behavior, higher compressive strength and higher stiffness than the disturbed and reconstituted samples. The internal fabric and structure can be easily destroyed by disturbance during the sampling process, high stress history, inappropriate sample treatment, etc.
