摘要
Inclusion of women in digital space is a growing concern considering various challenges particularly in the South Asian region where an information gap about Afghanistan exists. This work critically examines the perspective of technology usage among women, some of whom are displaced as refugees and returnees due to the long-standing conflict in the region, in the context of urban Afghanistan. Through a qualitative study with 23 women, among which we have 3 individuals experiencing refugee and returnee status, we take a closer look at their opportunities and challenges in the digital space. Our findings show how the participants are navigating the digital space facing various unique challenges. Our study also highlights the participant's aspiration of creating a supportive environment for fellow women showing resilience through their own difficulties.
