摘要
In this paper, the fluid-structure interaction problem is investigated. In particular, the vibration behavior of a rectangular composite plate in contact with fluid is studied. The fluid motion is affected by the plate vibration and produces a significant increase of the kinetic energy in the whole system. Therefore, the natural frequencies of the plate in contact with fluid can be determined by calculating the added virtual mass incremental factor (AVMIF), which represents the increase of the kinetic energy due to the presence of fluid. Once the natural frequencies of the rectangular composite in contact with fluid have been obtained, the forced Vibration analysis can be performed readily. In addition, the vibration of the plate in contact with fluid for both simply supported and clamped boundary conditions is investigated; meanwhile, the vibration behavior for different plate widths and lengths is also studied.
