摘要
This study investigates the three major factors that determine the effects of the essay test on the high school curriculum through the perceptions of high school students, parents, and teachers in order to do this, a mixed method design, the concurrent triangulation design, was used According to the results of the data analysis, high school students, their parents, and teachers perceive that (a) the essay test falls short in measuring the ability of students to think comprehensively, (b) the curriculum of high schools cannot adequately meet the educational demand to prepare students for the essay test, and (c) the market for coaching for the essay test is expanding The findings of the study will provide core ideas and insights for better implementation of the essay test as well as a valid evaluation on how the essay test affects the high school curriculum
