摘要
Is the FARC (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia-Ejercito del Pueblo [Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army]) merely a terrorist organization involved in narcotrafficking and the predatory tactics of survival, or does it represent a legitimate political movement or alternative? Should the Colombian left sever any ties to the FARC, or should it attempt to integrate it into the political process? These questions are particularly salient now because the political left in Colombia is arguably emergent, whereas the FARC's military strength has been eroded by the vigorous military and political attacks of the Uribe administration and its tactics have made it an unattractive political option.
