摘要
According to Tomonaga-Luttinger liquid theory, the conductance of a quasi one-dimensional system of interacting; electrons without potential scattering is renormalized as G = 2 gamma e(2)/h, where gamma < 1 for repulsive interaction. We show that this conductance is not the one observed in the experiments and that the renormalization factor gamma does not appear if we define the conductance correctly. It is one of the intrinsic properties of the system, and the absence of the renormalization, observed recently by Tarucha et al., has nothing to do with the experimental configuration. We extend the theory also to multi-subband systems.
