摘要
Biometric recognition most widely used technology in the field of identification or authentication. Due to the increase of biometric system applications, security and privacy are the important role in this. Biometric features are stored within a template in a database. Unencrypted templates have a high chance of security attacks. Therefore, the stored one requires fortification known as Biometric Template protection. Protecting task is the challenging one due to the vulnerabilities against the mentioned one. This paper gives an overview of the need and forms of BT schemes, in addition to their advantages and disadvantages in terms of performance, protection, and the impact of FRR and FAR on matching accuracy.
