摘要
Micro construction sites: Engineered peptides and ligand-functionalized gold nanoparticles have been assembled into micrometer-scale 3D cube-shaped crystals (see picture), creating a physical framework for a biomimetic assembly strategy. The NPs join the peptide nanowires through streptavidin-biotin interactions to create cubic unit cells. © 2010 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
