摘要
A class of new absorbing boundary conditions for numerical modelling of two-dimensional linear time-dependent elasticity is introduced. Many existing absorbing boundary conditions are included as special cases. The mechanism used to formulate these new conditions is the complete absorption at a certain number of prescribed incidence angles. Successful applications to finite-difference models of elastic wave scattering from defect-like features in solids are presented.
