摘要
In this article, the chemical modification of poly(2, 6-dimethyl-1, 4-phenylene oxide) (PPO) was carried out by incorporating an amine group into the PPO backbone. A maximum monosubstitution degree of 65 mol % was reached. The effects of reaction conditions on the functional group content in PPO is discussed. The aminated PPO obtained was characterized by FTIR, H-1-NMR spectroscopy, nitrogen analysis, DSC, solubility test, and X-ray diffraction studies. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
