摘要
The Middle Palaeolithic spectrum of tools from the site Neandertal In summer 1997 the investigations of R. W. Schmitz and J. Thissen resulted in the rediscovery of the layers containing finds of the cave >>Feldhofer Kirche<< and >>Kleine Feldhofer Grotte<<. The layers of the former)>>Kleine Feldhofer Grotte<< contained 186 tools and 38 cores in total apart from further Neanderthal bones; typologically they could be attributed to a Micoquien-/bifacially. worked knives-group inventory. It can be distinguished by a relatively small proportion of bifacial implements, numerous forms of scrapers and an especially high number of small, round edge retouched tools. These apparently Young Palaeolithic artefacts found their way into archaeological literature as >>Groszaki<<. So far they were found in only small numbers in Central and Eastern Europe. Due to the hitherto unique dominance of this tool type the inventory of Neandertal presents another variation of bifacially worked knives-group inventories and demonstrates the great variety of the late Middle Palaeolithic.
