Feminism in English

Language is a social phenomenon exists in the practice among hundreds and thousands of people. As the awakening of women and female liberation rise sharply, feminism in language became a hot topic. It is a popular research topic for many disciplines as well as linguistics. Within the field of sociolinguistics, the relationship between gender and language has been studied by different subfields with the focus on differences between the language of male and female, and this has led to many problems in both sexism and feminism in English. This paper proposes that efforts be made in finding the solutions to extirpate the sexist language. Many researches have been done in the field of feminism in English. The author's humble view concerning some aspects of the studies is also suggested in the concluding remarks.
