摘要：

A case of sudden death of a 75-year-old woman caused by a previously undiagnosed amyloidosis with cardiac involvement is described and discussed. Due to severe narrowing of the coronary arteries, a fresh myocardial infarction was macroscopically suspected at autopsy. Microscopically, an old myocardial scar of the left cardiac wall was found with vascular and interstitial deposits of mature transthyretin (TTR) amyloid. This hereditary amyloidosis with cardiac involvement is a common clinical diagnostic finding but is a rare finding in medicolegal autopies. The gross pathology and histopathological findings are presented in supplement to the literature.
