摘要：
A co-designed ring-type filtering patch antenna is proposed in this paper. This antenna consists of two main parts: the dual-mode microstrip ring resonator and the ring patch, which are well integrated together to reduce the overall size and power loss. Two patch modes are generated within the passband and a pair of radiation nulls are obtained on the two sides of the passband. The proposed filtering antenna achieves a peak gain over 10 dBi. Compared with the traditional patch antennas, this filtering antenna demonstrates an excellent out-of-band rejection level over 30 dB and a relatively flat passband response from 2.35 to 2.47 GHz.
