摘要
We present results of sub-millimeter observations of several luminous infrared galaxies with SCUBA at the JCMT. The sources were observed at 450 and 850 mum wavebands. We find excess fluxes at the 850 mum waveband when compared with single-temperature dust models for these galaxies. This excess has been found in other luminous infrared galaxies and was explained as a cold dust component or a high dust emissivity. We argue that the CO(3-2) line emission of these luminous infrared galaxies can contribute copious flux at the SCUBA 850 mum waveband and conclude that the cold dust component should be less significant than previously expected.
