摘要
The purpose of this review is to analyze three important pillars in the first Elementary Treatise of Chemistry: quantitative mathematics, the set of philosophical reflections on chemistry and conceptual changes over time. This paper examines the way of thinking of chemical language, from the experimental and theoretical point of view, including a philosophical-mathematical context on Lavoisier's contributions in his work. Likewise, we explore the scientific method as one of the fundamental tools of knowledge, which in a certain way led this scientist to the elaboration of his treatise. Finally, under systematic and detailed the observations of a work, the quantitative analysis of matter is highlighted as its composition, physical models, combinations and the epistemological truth of chemistry in time.
