摘要
The crystallization and preliminary X-ray diffraction analysis of the chitin-binding domain of chitinase from a hyperthermophilic archaeon, Pyrococcus furiosus, are reported. The recombinant protein was prepared using an Escherichia coli overexpression system and was crystallized by the hangingdrop vapour-diffusion method. An X-ray diffraction data set was collected to 1.70 A resolution. The crystal belonged to space group P4(3)2(1)2 or P4(1)2(1)2. The unit-cell parameters were determined to be a = b = 48.8, c = 85.0 angstrom.
