Effect of the internal structure of radially inhomogeneous particles of a marine suspension on the scattering distribution and the degree of plane polarization of scattered light

摘要
This paper discusses the angular characteristics of light scattering by a polydisperse system of two-layer particles of a marine suspension with a homogeneous nonpolarizing core and a power profile of the inhomogeneity of the shell-the clarified sphere model. It is shown that light scattering by such a system is sensitive to the internal structure and, under definite conditions, substantially differs from the scattering at systems of equivolume two-layer and homogeneous spheres. The main regularities in the behavior of the scattering distribution and the degree of plane polarization of this system are considered. (C) 1998 The Optical Society of America.
