摘要
Antarctica is the last untouched continent on the planet - its harshness and remoteness is an area that few have travelled to and even fewer have explored. This unique and relatively rare experience provides an opportunity to illustrate what it is like to participate in an expedition to Antarctica and to demonstrate how experiencing and exploring such a pristine and protected location can impact one's views on energy and the environment through autoethnography. The objective of this article is to discuss the implications that this carries to those interested in issues that cut across energy, environment, sustainability, and the future energy transition discourse. The background, methodology, reflections, and discussion are provided.
