Surgical treatment of the benign strictures of the bile ductsis analized; the operations in which injuries to the biliary tract were produced, type and site of the lesions, 99 patients were operated upon for repairing the stricture to the biliary tract, Surgical procedures used to repair the biliary strictures are described, Loeft hepaticojejunostomy was the most used procedure (78 cases). Follow up has been done since 1 to 25 years. Results were good in 96%, with only two recurrences of the stricture. No deaths. Recovery was satisfactory with return to normal life within a short period of time.
