摘要
Based on geochemical test and data analysis of mudstone samples from a well in Yihewusu sag of the Erlian Basin, the geochemical characteristics of source rocks were studied, and the hydrocarbon generation potential of source rocks was discussed. The results show that the source rocks in the study area are mainly developed in the Bayanhua group of the Lower Cretaceous, and there are three sets of potential source rocks, namely, the mudstone in Saihantala formation (K1bs), the mudstone in the second member of the Tengger formation (K1bt2) and the first member of the Tengger formation (K1bt1). For the mudstone in K1bs, the average value of TOC is 0.39%, indicating immature type Ⅲ rocks with medium-poor organic abundance source rock. The TOC of mudstone in K1bt2 is 0.64% on average, and the Tmax is 430 ℃ on average, showing mainly medium organic abundance, type Ⅱ2-type Ⅲ, and immature to low mature hydrocarbon source rocks. For the mudstone in K1bt1, the average value of TOC is 0.53%, and the average value of Tmax is 432 ℃, showing mainly medium organic abundance, type Ⅱ2-type Ⅲ, and low mature hydrocarbon source rocks. However, the source rock at the bottom of this formation has reached the stage of mature thermal evolution. The source rocks are dominated by higher plants in terms of source input, formed in a reductive and brackish sedimentary paleo environment. The lower limit TOC of effective source rocks in Yihewusu sag determined by this study is 0.85%, and the threshold depth of oil generation is 1500 m. It is predicted that the distribution of K1bt2 and K1bt1 effective hydrocarbon generation source rocks with larger area and thickness is in the deep section of the two subsags. From the perspective of hydrocarbon generation potential of source rocks and the material basis of hydrocarbon accumulation, the oil source conditions in the northern subsag are obviously better than those in the southern subsag. © 2022, Editorial Office of Journal of China University of Petroleum(Edition of Natural Science).
