Study on choising the parameter of a MR damper in semi-active vibration control suspension systems

摘要
Magnetorhological dampers will be an ideal component of semi-active vibration control in tracked armored vehicle suspension system by the reason of simple structure, small volume, energy saving, rapid response and smooth damping. In this paper based on Bingham model, the damping force of a MR damper was analyzed. And all the factors that affect the damping force of a MR damper were discussed. By the way of studying the experimental data of self-made MR damper, the four important relationships were obtained. Then the piston clearance was mainly discussed due to it affected the performance of a damper mainly. Finally, the piston clearance value was established. Based experiment and data calculation, the relationship curves were useful for some practice cases.
