摘要
Petroleum ether extracts of two plant materials viz. Azadirachta indica rind Jatropha curcas in different concentrations were tested for their antifeedant property against the third instar larvae of Papilio demoleus Linn. in the laboratory. The result showed that 0.3 per cent petroleum ether extract made out of seeds of A. indica deters the larvae from feeding. The average leaf area consumed in treated leaves by the larvae was found to be 33.77 per cent as compared to 85.85 per cent in control.
