摘要：
Bandwidth needs of customers over different media channels have increased dramatically over recent years and win continue to rise in the near future. Sub-band Division Multiplexing (SDM) is a new approach to increase bandwidth efficiency without the shortcomings of QAM and OFDM. SDM provides a multi-band approach with highly independent sub-bands. The frequency and time orthogonality of the sub-bands enables SDM to solve some ubiquitous problems in the cable and wireless channels such as narrow band interference, phase noise, and multi-path fading with simple structure and efficient implementation.
