Simulation of multi-phase fluid filtration on parallel computers with distributed memory

摘要
This work is devoted to development and comparative analysis of different parallel algorithms for solving large-scale problems of multiphase immiscible incompressible fluid filtration. Simulation of oil extraction by water flooding is considered as an application. Filtration processes are governed by the 2D Bucley-Leverett model. Explicit as well as implicit numerical methods are used. Particular attention is paid to developing parallel solvers for 2D elliptic PDEs of the second order and to increasing efficiency of parallelization for implicit algorithms. Presented methods were approved by a number of ID and 2D tests, the most accurate and efficient methods are applied to the oil extraction problem. Parallel implementations are based on computational domain partitioning. Calculations have been performed on multiprocessor systems with distributed memory Parsytec Power-Xplorer and Parsytec CC.
